Julian
Premus
Julian was one of the initial volunteers to join Somos traveling to Nicaragua in 2016. Since his first trip, Julian has travled with Somos on 5 different occasions, and has been involved with overseeing 7 differet Somos Camps. Julian graduated from Rutgers University in 2018, and is from Freehold, NJ.

SAM
BENSLEY
As a teenager, Sam recognized the need for the resource of athletic equipment in Nicaragua. Sam began collecting and bringing equipment on his own. Through his connections around his hometown Morristown, NJ and at Rutgers University, he grew the idea into a project which became officially established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 2014.

RHYS
WEINBERGER
Through a shared passion for sports, Rhys (left) met Sam at Rutgers Wrestling Club, where he learned about Somos and quickly developed a connection to it. Inspired by the vision, and having played different sports his entire life, it was not long before Rhys got involved and came on his first trip to Nicaragua in 2017. With every trip since then, his love and passion for helping people through sports has only grown.
TRISTAN
BREEZE
After graduating Rutgers, Tristan was introduced to Somos while traveling abroad with his good friend Darren Prado, an original Somos member. Upon meeting Sam and learning more about what the organization did, Tristan knew that he was all in. Tristan also had the privilege of playing many sports competitively through high school and college, so he understands the impact that sports have on making friends, learning teamwork, and bettering oneself. He believes all children deserve that opportunity and is blessed to be giving back to those who need help.
